Issues with Vault Sync After Switching from iCloud to Obsidian Sync on Mac

Hello everyone,

I recently switched from using iCloud to Obsidian Sync for my vaults on my MacBook, but I’m encountering some issues. My vault is still located in the MacBook’s Documents folder, which is still linked to iCloud, still leading to prolonged document loading times.

Has anyone else faced this? What steps can I take to resolve the sync and loading issues while ensuring my data remains secure and accessible across devices?

Don’t keep your vault in the Documents folder. Move it to your User folder. But make sure that all of your files are on your hard drive before you do. Depending on how you have set your preferences you might have some files in the cloud that are not on your hard drive.
