Issues from GitHub

It seems that all issues were removed from Pull requests · obsidianmd/obsidian-api · GitHub and not migrated to the forum.

Are they going to be migrated or they are gone?

They are getting migrated.

As I see the migration process is manual and time-consuming. I suggest to reopen GitHub Issues in the read-only mode

We are done migrating the issues that were still open and not already presented in the forum.

Well, at least the issues that I raised, are not in the forum

Let me double check

Any will be implemented in a future release.

For async event handler you had already opened a thread on the forum.

But there was also a suggestion to have more specific event handlers return types. I was suggesting instead of any to use void | Promise<void>

Please add it to the thread you created on the forum.

Sure I will. But it’s kinda pity that you guys just shutdown GitHub Issues and lost all the communication there for 4 years…

It reminds me of https://connect.microsoft.com/ that had thousands of issues and discussions before Microsoft shut it down without keeping any archive…

That GitHub issue tracker was never meant to be the place to discuss issues around the api. This is.

The issue tracker on that repo was on by default and had very low traffic for a long time. Recently, we noticed that people started posting there instead of here, hence the decision to close it.

I understand the motivation. But I would strongly encourage you to extract the archive, maybe even in JSON format and post in in the forum.
