I built Isfahan for my own vault, and it’s now in the community directory. It gives Obsidian a lapis and turquoise look that changes through the day: it works out sunrise and sunset where you live and moves through four palettes (Dawn, Workday, Evening, Night). Light and dark mode switch with it.

What else it does:

  • tile patterns behind note titles and in the file explorer (seven to choose from), and diamond checkboxes
  • Page mode in Reading view: serif headings, a drop cap, footnotes in the margin, a reading-progress line, and the sidebars fading while you read
  • the Properties block as a single ribbon line
  • callouts and tables as soft raised cards
  • a new tab with the clock, the weather, search and your recent notes

After installing, run “Create a sample page” to see it all on one note. The repo also has three templates (Book, Long-read, Daily).

It’s desktop only for now (not tried on mobile yet) and looks best on the default theme. The weather comes from Open-Meteo (only your place’s coordinates are sent, and you can turn it off).

Install: Settings → Community plugins → Browse → Isfahan
