Is this a bug - images get dimmed in Dark Mode

What I’m trying to do

Just use Dark Mode, but with images’ displaying intact with original brightness.

Things I have tried

When I activate dark mode, images get dimmed. They return to their brightness only when you hover over. Is this a bug? If not, how can I disable it?

I want the images to be as legible as possible. Dimming them is bad design. Here is the video of what I am talking about - I switch between read and edit mode in the middle (it didn’t matter):

Are you using the Minimal theme?

There’s an “image opacity in dark mode” setting that looks like that. Dig into Style Settings (a community plugin) and see if that’s it.
