Is there a way to reduce the unused space on the left of a pane?

After a recent update, the editor now shows a lot of unused space on the left of a pane and there is no way to resize it.

It’s annoying when you are using a big or high-res monitor because the text is centered with a huge gap between the menu and the editor and If I maximize the window, it becomes absurdly big.

Is there a way to resize this?
