Is there a plugin or CSS snippet that adds a right sidebar pane to display note annotations and comments?

Good afternoon. I am looking for either a plugin or CSS snippet that displays all comments and/or annotations present in an open note within a dedicated pane in the right sidebar? Looking for a simple plugin or snippet that just displays the comments and annotations in a pane in the right sidebar with the usual search and sort options. Researching existing plugins, Enhanced Annotations, CriticMarkup and Reading Comments seem overly complex, add too many additional features, for my purposes and Note Annotations is too limited. A relatively new plugin called Sidebar Highlights seems to fit the bill more so but adds additional functionality I don’t need (Collections). I can live with the Sidebar Highlights plugin but would like to know if a simpler alternative is out there.

Thanks!

I’m not aware of one. I’d go with Sidebar Highlights.

For the sake of completeness, there is also this user-unfriendly embedded-search–based method: List all highlights in document(s) — without community plugins (if Search had a “this” operator like the one in Bases, the technique would be more feasible).

@CawlinTeffid I am leaning toward the Sidebar Highlights plugin. Does the plugin subforum here take requests for plugins? Meaning, is it impolite or out of the scope to ask for plugin requests?

If you have a feature request for a plugin the best way is to open an issue in the plugin’s repository on github. You can find a link in the plugin description.
Some developers also read the forum and have their own treads here for their plugins, but not everyone.
