Is there a difference for using quotation marks in frontmatter?

Hey guys, just having a quick question here. Is there any substantial difference if I insert quotation marks “” into the frontmatter or not?

Version (a)

date: "2020-12-21"
categories: 
  - "elektromobilitat"
  - "nfz"
  - "pkw"

Version (b)

date: 2020-12-21
categories: 
  - elektromobilitat
  - nfz
  - pkw

Oh, I just saw that there is already a difference since Version (a) has got some color applied to it.

Mostly no. According to Wikipedia they’re useful to distinguish a string from a number.
