The Flatpak is listed as Community maintained on the Obsidian website.
The Flapak is listed as Verified aka officially maintained on the Flathub page.
Could you clarify for me which is correct?

Do pardon me, but in which dictionary does verified mean “officially maintained”?
I do see (emphasis mine):
This distribution is verified by the Obsidian team but isn’t supported
Also if you search the forum you can find many instances of WhiteNoise mentioning they don’t provide support for Flatpack, and that it is developed and maintained by the 3rd party.
I don’t know precisely what verified entails. Perhaps they do some cursory checks to make sure it builds and installs. Maybe it just means the team gave their acknowledgement that they exist as a project.
Maybe the team will answer with details (maybe not), but the answer is that Flatpack is community maintained and is not maintained nor supported by the Obsidian team.
Its community maintained, but we have commit access to the repo.
From the flatpak docs:
A verified app is an app that is published on Flathub by its original developer or a third party approved by the developer.
The second one is the case.
