Is it possible to use remark plugins directly into Obsidian?

I’d like to add the admonition markup used in vuepress (Markdown Extensions | VuePress) since I already have a bunch of files using it. There is a remark plugin (remark-admonitions - npm), but I don’t see how I might use that with Obsidian’s plugin system.

Is there a direct way of saying “use this plugin too, when processing the remark output”?

What options do I have for making this work?
