I tried to hide the File Explorer pane and tried moving the Tag pane to the left.
What I’m trying to do
I would like to reproduce the Bear app. The pane in the left is based on tags, and when you select a tag, it shows a list of the files on the right.
You can add it to the file explorer and then view it as a tab:

There is also a new plugin which shows a file explorer type approach to tags:
