Is anyone interacting with an actual SQL database from Obsidian?

There are tons of ways to use Dataview and tags/frontmatter as a query language to simulate a database, and I love that feature.
However, it can’t replace using something like SQLite or DuckDB.
It should be possible to do so, if only within the plugin processes itself.
So how are you guys doing that? And is anyone able to get actual (```sql) queries to run from Markdown files?

These feels like an utterly absurd thing to make Obsidian do, but I also desperately want to know the answer :joy:

You’re not wrong…

I had the same question and just made this video
