Irrevocable Hotkey setting

Steps to reproduce

  1. set Hotkeys in the settings
  2. accidentally hit the Customize this command
  3. It shows Press hotkey...

Expected result

say “whoops”, and click a x bottom to cancel that, or some may just close the dialog pretending nothing happended.

Actual result

It’s actually a mistake but nowhere to cancel that, even if clossing the dialog, it’s still waiting for pressing the hotkey.

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Obsidian version: v0.6.1
  • Using custom CSS: No

Additional information

There is a way to cancel that, click on the * button again (customize this command).

Seems doesn’t work to me… I click * bottom again with no response…it still displays Press hotkey .

My Obs version is v0.6.4 now

sorry, my bad. have you tried pressing esc.

Yes, ESC works, thanks !

But I think showing a proper hint somewhere could be better. For now if close the dialog box of hotkey setting without pressing ESC, it’s waiting the input and the first time pressing hotkey, like ctrl + c, becomes the setting hotkey… next time when try to use ctrl + c to copy, some strange things happened… That would be confusing.

I agree with that
