What I’m trying to do
On my iPad Pro (Obsidian ver. 1.10.3) the ribbon no longer appears on the side of the screen unless I have the entire left sidebar open. Alongside this, when I use iPad OS 26’s windowed app mode, the window controls entirely cover the top sidebar button, meaning I can’t open the sidebar at all without either using the swipe gesture to do so or maximizing the window so the controls disappear. I use an external keyboard/mouse meaning using the swipe all the time can be a bit of a hassle.
To sum it up, I’m wondering if there’s any way I can make the ribbon stay on the side of the screen. This would bump over the sidebar button so it isn’t in the way of the window controls, as well as let me access the ribbon which I use pretty often.
Things I have tried
I am aware that I can pin the sidebar so it stays open, which would include the ribbon as well, but the sidebar isn’t adjustable and it makes everything look uncomfortable when I’ve got the app in any windowed mode.
So far, I’ve tried disabling and enabling the ribbon through Obsidian’s settings, as well as disabling my theme to make sure it wasn’t that. The ribbon toggle only affected when the sidebar was open, and the theme was unfortunately not the culprit.
