Steps to reproduce
In v1.4 on iOS (not sure about Android), at the end of a line, press Return. (The problem doesn’t happen every time so you may need to try more than once. In my test right before posting this it took 6 tries.)

This was a problem in the past. I guess this was the bug report for it: iOS IME sometimes creates two empty lines with only one tap. It was apparently an iOS-specific upstream issue.
