I’m a big fan of Interstitial Journaling (Interstitial journaling: combining notes, to-do & time tracking - Ness Labs), mostly on my Daily Note. However, I’d like to make it more useful.
In short, I add a line whenever I switch status e.g., start working on something different, take a phone call, find an interesting web page etc. This is helpful from a processing point of view, and also keeps a record of actions and events. I can add a URL to a line and give it a [[To Read]] link so I can find the link later by looking at backlinks.
However, I’d also like to record time spent and mileage so I can easily extract a list of journeys and project times for further processing. I can see how I could do that in a spreadsheet, and maybe that’s the answer, but is there a way to do this in Obsidian?
