Internally associate filetypes with Obsidian

I have enabled “Detect all file extensions” in the config and made one of the document folders I use, the vault. This folder contains a lot of MultiMarkdown files, that have the *.mmd extension. They are Markdown with another extension, basically. Obsidian loads them with the app, that is assoicated within the operating system (Notepad).

Is there a way to tell Obsidian to handle these files as *.md?

Thanks, Andreas

I do not know any way of changing that configuration.

The only way I think you can use these files in Obsidian is renaming them with .md extension.
