Internal links not creating new folder

I have found that Internal Links won’t create a folder for a new Note.

This works as expected. It creates a new Note in the respective Directory.

[[NewNote]]

This gives an error. Is this by design or a bug?

[[NewFolder/NewNote]]

I believe this is by design for now. It sounds like a good #feature-requests
