Insert 1 or More Dashes or Special Characters Between Selected Words

In Obsidian, is there a way --such as through a plugin --to insert a dash, or any other special character, in between selected words?

Inserting a dash would, for instance, help with tag creation, as shown in these parentheses ( #Tag-Creation).
