What I’m trying to do
Hi all,
I’m hoping someone can shed light on a recent change I’ve noticed.
I use inline evaluation heavily across my notes — for example:
# `= this.file.name`
URL: {{URL}}
Tags: #MichaelGove #Australia #NewZealand
## Notes
*`= this.file.frontmatter.Description`*
This used to render perfectly in Reading Mode — pulling the filename and frontmatter description automatically.
However, as of the past week or so, these inline expressions have stopped evaluating altogether — they now appear as plain text.
I’m using Obsidian Interpreter / Bases (not pure Dataview), and the rest of my base blocks are still working fine. It feels like there’s been a syntax or rendering change — possibly an update that requires double braces {{ }} or a new setting?
Has anyone else seen this?
Was there a recent update to the Bases or Interpreter plugin that changed how inline formulas are parsed in Reading Mode?
Any guidance (or confirmation I’m not going mad!) would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
