In Math environments both inline and block, when scaling the vert character it disappears after exporting to PDF. The error happens in cases like
$$
\frac{1}{x} \Big \rvert, \frac{1}{x} \Big|
$$
This happens for various scaling options and doesnt depend on whether I use | or \rvert or \vert. The only instance, where it renders correctly is when no scaling option is applied.
I apologize if this post is redundant or the format in which I post is not proper.
I tested with
$$
\frac{1}{x} \Big \rvert, \frac{1}{x} \Big| |
$$
$$
\frac{1}{x} \left| \frac{1}{x} \right| |
$$
and this was my result (screenshot from exported pdf)
Have you tried using sandbox vault and with several pdf readers and possibly several screens/computers.
Also can you use auto scale instead of manual scale options?

I tried everything but to switch to a different pdf viewer. Seems like the problem was okular. Sorry for the false alarm, but thank you very much for the quick answer!
I’ve inccured the same problem in chrome PDF viewer. Actually, before seeing this thread, I didn’t notice that the viewer could be the problem…
