(ai assisted formatting help, troubleshooting, and bug report)
Obsidian’s Live Preview mode inconsistently renders indented text beneath bulleted list items, making it nearly impossible to achieve reliable formatting for a simple and common pattern: a bolded bullet header with an indented path/text on the next line.
Steps to reproduce
Create a new note in Live Preview mode
Type a bulleted list item with bold text
Add two trailing spaces and press Enter
Add 4 spaces and type a file path
Repeat for multiple items
Observe inconsistent rendering across items
Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]
yes
Expected result
The following Markdown should consistently render as a bulleted item with the header in bold and the path indented below it:
- Header Text:
/path/to/file
Actual result
The rendering is inconsistent and unpredictable:
Sometimes the indented line renders as a code block (gray background)
Sometimes it loses indentation entirely and renders flush with the bullet
Sometimes it works correctly, then breaks when editing nearby text
The same exact Markdown can render differently in different parts of the same document
Behavior changes seemingly randomly based on line length or surrounding content

Additional information
<Workaround attempts that failed:
Using tabs vs spaces (tabs trigger code blocks)

Source mode shows correct Markdown but Live Preview renders incorrectly
Impact:
This makes it impossible to create clean, professional-looking documents with basic hierarchical formatting. Users are forced to either abandon bullets entirely or accept unpredictable rendering that changes as they edit.
Request:
Please make Live Preview’s list continuation and indentation parsing consistent and predictable. This is basic Markdown formatting that works reliably in every other editor.
