>> in vim mode indents with 4 spaces instead of 2

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Sandbox Vault
  2. Disable Editor > Indent using tabs
  3. Set Indent visual width to 2
  4. Enable Vim key bindings
  5. Place the cursor on any line in normal mode
  6. Press > >

Expected result

I expect the line to be indented with 2 spaces, but instead it is indented with 4. This has started happening in the last week or two, quite possibly since upgrading to v1.8.4

Actual result

Indented with 4 spaces.

This is not a bug but an intentional change. It has been renamed for a reason visual width for clarity too. The subtexts ware also made clear too. Please follow/join this other thread:
