I’d love a way to import notes from google keep. Is this even possible?
I’m sure a lot of people would love to be able to import google keep notes.

You can use this script. It is well documented so even if you don’t have a lot of experience with programming you might be able to get it running GitHub - djsudduth/keep-it-markdown: Convert Google Keep notes dynamically to markdown for Obsidian, Logseq, Joplin and Notion using the unofficial Keep API. (Please look at the develop branch for contributing!)
Thats intimidating looking at all of that. I’ll think about implementing it.
Does this script import keep notes automatically into obsidian?
I know it can be intimidating. Give it a try, it might help you get more comfortable with these kinds of things. Again, the steps are reasonably easy to follow. This will bring in all your Google Keep notes to a directory on your computer in an .md format. From there you can just move them to your Obsidian directory and they’ll show up
Sorry for the bump, but for anybody else stumbling across this topic (it appears pretty high in search results) there now appears to be an official help article talking about the import process.
best part of the official method is using Google Takeout to export your data rather than giving an auth token to a script
not mentioned in the help article: you can choose a subfolder for the import, so you don’t dump all over existing files
I did this with a lot of Google Keep notes. Good thing is it looks well organised and keeps the labels from Google Keep nicely seperated from the ones in Obsidian (within Keep/Label/xxxx.
But it’s a real pity that it doesn’t take over the timestamps that are available within the takeout zip file (“userEditedTimestampUsec” and createdTimestampUsec"), so you end up with thousands of undated notes, which seriously diminishes useability.
