Importing ENEX: doesn't preserve date

Using the Importer plugin, I tried to import a few hundred notes from Evernote (ENEX files).
In Obsidian, the imported notes are not organized by date / can’t see when they were really written.
When I mouse-over the entries in the notes list, I can see last modified and created date. “Created at” is set to the time of import for all notes. “Last modified at” is also set to that date for about 20% of the notes. For the rest of the notes, it’s set to seemingly actual date of writing.

Does anyone have some advice how to import my notes and keep date information? (those 20% that has no date information bugs me)
Even if the solution involves maybe adding the date to the title or metadata or content… IDK yet how people typically organize notes by date. Do you rely on having the date in the title?

Thanks in advance

I had exported to HTML, but in checking, that doesn’t appear to keep the dates either.

I don’t know if this will fix your issue, but I had a lot of luck with Yarle for converting my .enex files into Markdown.

yeah this works pretty well, thanks! yarle has an option to prepend the date to the title. moreover, it adds the creation & modified timestamps to the Properties inside the notes.
