What I’m trying to do
I created a vault with a lot of backlinks between various notes. My thought was that, once I had completed my research, those backlinks would be part of the data of the notes they were linked to. For example, I have a note for the year 1970. The note itself is empty, but it has multiple Linked Mentions from other notes of events that took place in 1970.
But I have no way of pulling that text into the note for 1970, unless I copy and paste, which is a PAIN with so many backlinks. Since that is not part of the data for that note, when I’m using Smart Composer to help process my data, it’s seeing that note as a blank file. I was hoping there was a way that the text surrounding the backlink would be easily imported into the note that it’s linked to.
Things I have tried
I’ve tried Dataview, Easy Bake, and Text Expand, but none of these pulled in the text of the backlink that I wanted. I know this question has come up on this forum before, but none of the solutions has helped for what I want. Also, I’m coding-dumb, so perhaps there’s codes that would help me, but without someone saying, “Paste this exact thing here.” I’m pretty much useless. Dataview has come the closest to what I want, but still doesn’t pull the linked text into the note.
