Implementing spaced repetition for incremental writing workflow.

Hello everyone,

I am quite new to obsidian (less than a month), and I have been trying to setup a long lasting workflow for note taking. So far I’ve followed what is called the atomic note method, which means I have a bunch of notes which depict a concept in a few line, and I try to make as much reference as possible.

Re-organizing ideas from what I learn into these notes has helped me understand better the concepts I try to learn. However, I am afraid I will only end up with a bunch of notes I’ll never read or think about ever again, that is why I thought implementing spaced repetition would be a good idea.

My thought was that if I could review notes every so often, I could add more references and details to these, thus sharpening my knowledge of the subjects and create more link between them.

However, I am afraid by the time I have a big database of atomic notes, I end up just mindlessly reviewing notes and not remembering any concepts I could associate to them, because I can’t think about what could be a good reference to this concept that I created 6 months ago, or even reviewed 2 weeks ago but I can’t think about.

So far I’ve been using the spaced repetitions plugin, and have not really been able to create the connections between concepts I wanted to.

What do you people think ?
