Live preview is an editor that fakes certain aspects of the reader experience but it’s still an editor first and certain things are not going to be the same.

Still, shouldn’t this be considered a bug? Indentation is quite important, IMO. And the current behavior is confusing/worse than in plain text editor that handles indentation well.
