Image preview problem - not updating

Tested without custom theme.

Steps to reproduce

Copy and paste multiple images into a page or edit an image outside of Obsidian and save it.

Expected result

Images show in relation to linked file updated with latest changes.

Actual result

Every image looks like the first pasted image in preview or viewing the attachment, but are the correct and intended image if you ‘Open in default app’. In the case of editing the image, changes do no show in preview.

Environment

  • Operating system: macOS Catalina 10.15.6
  • Obsidian version: 0.8.2

Additional information

Edited the images do not update unless you close and reopen Obsidian.

I can’t repro. Maybe it is just a matter of closing and reopening the preview

Is your issue similar to this Image not displaying due to # in start of filename.

I have this issue in 1.0.
I open image in ‘default app’ (preview), crop the image and save.
Obsidian file doesn’t update the changes even after toggling between edit and reading view. It does update once closed and reopened.
Interestingly, Dataview query that yields the image from the field on that page updates immediately.
