"[image] could not be found" even though image exists (after v1.5.8 update)

Steps to reproduce

Tricky to reproduce in a vault from scratch. This happened to many of my files when I updated to the latest version v1.5.8.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

I am not sure how to reproduce the bug without going between versions.

Expected result

Images rendered correctly.

Actual result

Description of the bug:
Images are not rendered with the message “[filename.png] could not be found.” , even though the image does exist. If I simply click into the name of the file, press backspace to delete a few letters of the filename, the file shows up in autocomplete suggestions. If I select the suggested file, the image renders correctly again. You can find a screen recording of the problem here if the description is unclear.

Additional information

Are the images with the issue all screenshots?

If so, it’s probably this:

Ah, yes, this must be it — as far as I can tell all problem images are in fact screenshots. Thank you!
