If I log in while using it as a guest, will my existing notes disappear?

I used Obsidian on mobile without signing up for an account. If I sign up and log in now, will the notes I previously wrote automatically sync, or will they disappear?

Neither. Logging in simply logs you in.

Once logged in, and if you are subscribed to Obsidian Sync, you can create a remote vault and start syncing. Details here:

Your notes are stored locally, on your device somewhere (the “where” might depend on your OS), so nothing should happen to them…

If you have doubts, you could still try to create a backup of your vault, just in case…
