If I export a file to PDF does it download images?

Hi all,

Say I have a file in obsidian that has a picture in it and that picture points to a location on the web, like

When I export to pdf using obsidians native export, does it download a copy of that pic and add it to the pdf? Or does the pdf also point to the web?

Trying to figure out if my pdf images will break if the website owner deletes the image.

The answer is yes—images are always hard attached to the pdf file. That is also the core idea of pdf files.
