I want to see my image previewed in my file, rather than having to click on it to preview

What I’m trying to do

So what I am trying to do is that I want my image displayed as it is in the editor portion rather than it’s name popping up and then me having to click on it.

Things I have tried

  1. I have tried using a couple plugins but nothign worked.
  2. I have tried changing the syntax on my own but that isn’t working as well.

This is what i am being talking about, once i add an image to my file it shows like this-

But i want it to be displayed like this -

Please give me some suggestions

Embed the picture with ![[IMG_3496.heic]]. However, you need to convert it to a file format supported by Obsidian, see Accepted file formats - Obsidian Help.

As I understand it, HEIC format is not supported by the underlying infrastructure of Obsidian (Chromium), so according to this post, it will most likely never be supported.

as @stef.rausch mentions, you will have to convert before you transclude it.

Image Converter plugin can convert HEIC files into more user friendly format: JPG, PNG, WEBP, so then it can rendered/previewed by Obsidian
