I have installed a GTD-solution, which uses Templater to work smarter.
The first few times I use the system, everything is fine, but suddenly (after a day or two), I don’t see the smart output (eg current date), but the source code instead
Things I have tried
source: I see a lot of description on how to enable “view source” - I want to go the opposite way, but removing the check-mark doesn’t help me.
Templater: I get too many Q&A on installing, configuring, …
I have enabled and disabled “View Source”
I have changed directories in the Templater-settings,
I have toggled a lot of other settings in Templater
I have removed Templater pluginn and reinstalled
What I see
I expect the scripts to be solved, and display the output, but in stead I get a “source-look”.

WhatISee.png: This is what I see when I look at my new note
From what I see in your screenshot, this isn’t “source”…
It just looks like the template is just not run through templater which therefore can’t output anything …
Now I have no idea what you mean by:
… or how you installed the said GTD-solution but a question would be: How do you create your daily note ?
… and in Templater’s settings do you have the setting: Trigger Templater on new file creation toggled On?
“Trigger Templater on new file creation” was off. That solved my problem!
Thanks again.
Clarification:
Sorry GTD is so top-of-mind for me at the time, so I forget other people might not know it. It’s a method for task management. Getting Things Done. Actually not a needed information…
My pleasure !
I’m really glad to know it was only a setting issue !
iirc, that Templater settings is off by default and it’s one of the most common reason why a template doesn’t get applied when it should …
(An another one, is running a Templater’s template through the Templates Core plugin instead of Templater)
I asked about the GTD method because in Obsidian’s environment, it could have been tied to another plugin than Templater, or a premade vault you found somewhere… which could have played a role in your issue …
