I lost my notes

does anyone know what i can do? i lost 2 years worth of obsidian notes. I’m a relatively new user so i don’t really know how to use obsidian, but i just needed a platform to organise all my notes.

but 2 days ago i went to fix my macbook and they wiped everything – i think i only backed up half of my notes. i tried transferring to a vault before they fixed my laptop, but i don’t think it worked.

what do i do?

So sorry to hear this. What do you mean that you tried transferring to a vault before they fixed your laptop? Where was this vault stored?

Did they tell you why they wiped everything? Or was it just lost in some hard drive failure?
