Every time you create a new page, it will be created in the root directory. If there are too many files, moving the location becomes very troublesome. I hope that when I select a subdirectory, the new page created will be under this subdirectory.

See Preferences → Files and Links → Default Location for New Notes

The current operation logic is that when a file is selected in a subdirectory, the newly created file will be placed side by side in the file. My operating habit is to select a directory and create a new file, which will create a new file in the root directory, so I haven’t found this feature before. thank you for your reply!
