I am unable to view the exported PDF properly when using Obsidian dark mode

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download Obsidian for Ubuntu.
  2. Select dark mode.
  3. Write a note in Obsidian.
  4. Export to PDF.
  5. View the PDF.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Expected result

I should be able to see legible text in the exported PDF with either dark background and white text or white background and dark text.

Actual result

Only a white page is visible and the text is also white. The text is there because when I select it with my mouse it gets highlighted. So it is a bit of a color issue.

Can we please get this fixed!?!

This issue is why my wife stopped using Obsidian. And it’s one of those annoying issues that you hit multiple times per month and make you want to abandon Obsidian because it’s the 25th time you’ve forgotten that there’s no way to print directly from Obsidian or export to send to other people.

I want to use Obsidian for more of my creative writing but it’s crazy that I need to open the md in another app to export to pdf to print. It also exposes some of the differences in Obsidian md and other apps which adds to the frustration.

It’s such a high quality product and yet this is table stakes. Either let us print or fix the pdf export so we can print from another app.

Thank you kindly.
