I am trying to get started. Is my forum account and password the same as the main Obsidian.md account and password?

Help please.

  1. I downloaded the app… obsidian.md
  2. I set up my account, and then tried going onto discord ( I have discord already) it wanted to verify, but would not let me.
  3. Then I went to this Forum site and I tried to login with my Obsidian Account which did not work. So I set up the same user ID and Password? << are they supposed to be the same as the main obsidian.md account and password??
    Any and all help, is very much appreciated.

The forum and the main website have separate accounts.

Dang, I should delete one then and redo? I did not know this.

Also, I cannot log into Discord. It won’t let me in.

login or join the discord?

If you can’t login to discord, contact discord… but good luck with that. Their support sucks.

Join the server, then that is an entirely separate issue. Try this link: Obsidian Members Group (OMG)

Thanks so much for the link. I bet this one works also… a subreddit Obsidian person gave me a link that worked also! I guess the one on the Obsidian website needs to be updated? It would not let me in. All good now though. Thanks kind person!
