Hyphen and angle bracket no longer gives arrow ->

I really like the feature that a hyphen + an angle bracket gives an arrow like ->. But, it’s no longer working now. Is this feature removed or hidden somewhere?

system: MacBook with M1pro chip, OS Monterey 12.4
Obsidian: v0.15.9

What I’m trying to do

A recent Obsidian update changed the default font to whatever your system uses. Most system fonts do not include ligatures. If you change the default obsidian font back to the “old” default (Inter) the arrow will come back.
