Hyperlink to block

What I’m trying to do

I’m trying to create a hyperlink to a block in another obsidian doc.

Things I have tried

I’m using the “Copy link to block” and “Paste url into selection” plugins. I can paste the link to the block into the other page at e.g. the end of the block, but I can’t turn any text within the block to a hyperlink.

Could you post a few screenshots or a recording of what you are trying to do? Copy link to block seems to be working over here.

Thanks for your speedy response. I finally figured it out. I wanted to paste it into a text selection on another note. I finally saw the use of the pipe character etc. as per the example in the Help notes: [[Internal links|custom display text]] I’m new to Obsidian but was having trouble with internal links period. Loving Obsidian so far though!
