Steps to reproduce

Using Dell XPS 9315, Ubuntu 9315

1. Open a vault, Sync is on but no community plugins are used.
2. Wait several seconds
3. FPS drops will be noticeable

The strangest part of this problem is that it goes away in the sandbox but comes back in the restricted vault.

So it’s something about that vault or where it’s located. When going into Restricted mode, it’s best to restart to make sure all plugins are unloaded.

You could try quitting Obsidian, temporarily moving the .obsidian/ settings folder out of the vault, and restarting to see if anything changes. A new folder .obsidian will be created with default settings/no plugins/no snippets/etc. If that clears things up, you can replace from the original as needed until you find the culprit. That’s what I would do.
