How to use Obsidian to edit your website's markdown without looking at JavaScript files & folders

Hey friends!

I was looking for a way to use Obsidian to edit my Astro website’s markdown files without looking at the website project’s folders in my sidebar. I couldn’t find a “ignore files and folders” solution, so I came up with this nifty trick. If you’re on windows, I’ve pinned a comment of instructions on how to achieve the same for Windows. Using this method you could “include” files and folders from multiple different sources in the same vault, which is very ergonomic if you want to share notes and content between those sources. This is not an Astro specific workflow. I already saw posts in this forum that ask for a “ignore files & folders” feature (like this one). This would be a good solution for that case too.

Check out the video and let me know what you think. It solved my issue of not being able to ignore certain files and folders, and I hope it will solve yours too!
