How to turn off expanding carot next to every internal link in Editing mode?

After updating some plugins, I recently started seeing a carot “>” after each internal link that allows me to expand an “embedded” preview of the linked note. I find this annoying and adds clutter to my notes.

Example:

However I can’t figure out what is driving this behavior. It seems like it’s driven by a plugin, but I can’t figure out what plugin it is. It only shows in Editing Mode, not Reading Mode.

Can anyone help me figure out how to disable this behavior?

There is a Divide and conquer plugin helping you to locate an “offending” plugin showing some sort of misbehaviour like you’re describing. With it you can disable/enable groups of plugin to quickly help you locate which plugin are causing this behaviour.

If you post the list of plugins you’re using, someone might recognise which plugin does this by just a quick glance, but I’ve never heard of such a plugin with that behaviour before.

Could be even some CSS snippet to do with callouts…?
