How to remove this red color? Only by renaming my notes?

Hey there,

I name a lot of my notes directly after stock tickers, eg. $APPL.
Now when I am making notes and linking, this happens:

As far as I understand the only option is to drop $ in front of the name. Obviously the CMD+Click does not work as well, but everything works normal in Preview.

Is there anything I could do besides renaming my notes?

Have you tried putting a backslash in front of the dollar? This works on my system (Windows) and still points to the correct file.

Single dollar signs around text signify inline maths.

Yeah, actually this solves it. But probably still makes sense to rename notes, to avoid this in general.
