How to open embedded PDF in default app?

This seems like a stupid question, but is there an easy way to open an embedded PDF file in the system default app?

If the file is only linked [[file.pdf]] I can do so using the context menu but embedded files ![[file.pdf]] have no context menu.

I’m also open for plugin suggestions.

You could put an external link above the embedded link?

mac:

You can do the same for an embedded file - simply switch to edit mode.
