How to move local vault to Obsidian Sync and activate Selective Sync?

Hi!

I have just signed up for Obsidian Sync, but not moved any of my vaults there yet. When I read the docs, it seems like I only have to enable the Sync Core Plugin to get started. But at the same time the docs says that once folders are uploaded, they can’t be excluded from Obsidian Sync using Selective Sync.

So what does really happen when I activate the Sync plugin? Does syncing start right away, or do I get an option to select which of my local vaults to move there and also which folders to exclude?

Hi, you need to configure the Sync plugin on each vault. go to the vault settings an look on the sync options.
