I use the Advanced Tables plugin for editing and padding tables, but depending on the theme, it doesn’t really play nice. It always accounts for the markdown syntax when padding, even when it’s hidden in live preview; and there’s no option to have it ignore this.
I’ve found it best to switch to source mode when editing tables as the syntax is shown, making the padding more uniform; but constantly switching between both editing modes is annoying.
How do I make it so that markdown syntax is rendered when editing these in live preview?
Things I have tried

If in live preview it attempts to guess the context of what you’re editing, and for a table that is the entire table. It can’t render parts of the table, and leave others unrendered. So once you place your cursor inside the table, it’s going to not render any parts of that table. Other tables (which now has lost focus) will now be rendered when you’re in live preview.
With that being said, I’ve been a little frustrated every now and then since advanced tables plugin expands the column width to match the longest line in the table, which could be link which when displayed isn’t nearly as long.
Then again, I’m most of the time living in pure source mode, and don’t bother using live preview with exception of testing various solutions since I see others use it. I’m more into having a stable viewing experience when editing, and find it slightly confusing using live preview as the text and displays shifts around depending on where my cursor happens to be located.
