How to make a life counter in obsidian for D&D

I’m using Obsidian to make a character sheet for my Dungeons & Dragons character. For this character sheet, I am trying to find some way of keeping track of my character’s life total. Basically, I need some way to increase/decrease the life total easily while in read mode, maybe with a +/- button I can press to change the number, or maybe some way I can type “-2” and have it subtract 2 health from my character, something along those lines. I would really like to not have to switch back into edit mode to change my character’s life total.

Also, is there any way I can change what items are in my inventory, without having to switch into edit mode? My inventory is basically just a list of things my character is carrying, so does anyone know of a way I can edit a list from reading mode, or just edit a block of text from reading mode? Thanks!

Counting correct answers to questions

I would join the two changes to the frontmatter into one call of app.fileManager.processFrontMatter(), so you don’t have two independent file write operations to the same file. And the code also demands for the properties to be present when you start the show… There is also a small feature, that if you spam click either button, it might lag a little (or demand another click (or reload) after a little delay) to get the correct number. Regarding inventoey I reckon one way could be to have a suggester of items which when chosen gets included on the current note. That should be doable from either Templater or QuickAdd, with a little bit of coding.
