How to fix too many "files" button showing in iOSapp

What I’m trying to do

I noticed my sync is not working, and I tried to fix it while messing with the setting in obsidian, but I can’t find the setting page. I am just guessing it is not shown here by something causing to show a lot of “files” in the list, and make setting button pushed away from the screen.

What i wanted to do is…

  1. See the settings
  2. fix or close shown “too many files”

Things I have tried

  • searching on google
  • Updating iOS and Apps version to latest releases
  • Restarting the app

iOS version 18.3.1
iPhone 16

I will post the screenshot in this thread after creating the topic

I just realized, my grammar in Title was bad but I can’t edit it now

I’ve had something similar before – some community plugin made a mess of the mobile sidebar.

If you are comfortable, close Obsidian, rename the <vault-name>/.obsidian/workspace-mobile.json file, and restart. The mobile workspace will be reset to the default layout.

If you sync your vault with iCloud Drive, you can rename the file on your desktop and have the change sync over. If you use another sync method or are phone-only, you can use an app like Taio or Textastic on iOS to rename the file.

Before you try the above though, I’d follow all the troubleshooting guide. It may be a plugin or (less likely) a theme causing the issue.

I searched up how to edit that file from iPhone, edited the said file, and it worked back normal!
Now I can see the setting too so I can mess with the settings again.

Thank you so much.

Oh, right! I had forgotten you might not be able to get to the Settings. Luckily it’s not something that is going to happen often. :crossed_fingers:

Glad it’s sorted out.
