Hi! I’d like to use Obsidian, but I’m having a problem: I don’t know how to export the results of a search. However, I absolutely need these markdown files so I can compile them with RStudio. Does anyone know if there is a solution for exporting files? Thank you.
I don’t know RStudio so I don’t understand what is to be exported.
Is it files with content that are needed?
Or you need filenames (plus paths)?
Currently, in the search results, only the filenames (with or without paths) can be copied.
I am curious, what is the search term being used? Is it for querying content?
We know nothing, which is why nobody took the time to answer in the last 6 hrs.
RStudio is a text editor that allows, among other things, to transform Markdown into Latex without having to use Latex.
When I run a search in my notes—for example, with the word Objectivity—I get a list of all the notes in which the occurrence Objectivity appears. As anyone can understand, this is very convenient, but I can’t export the text of these notes into a text editor. I’m reduced to copy and paste the text of each note into Obsidian, then copy and paste it again, and then compile it with a text editor if it is necessary. If I run the same query with, for example, DEVONthink (Mac only), I can export the text of all the notes I’ve thus gathered. It’s the same thing with Tinderbox. So I’m wondering if Obsidian allows this procedure. Obsidian helps me freely associate around my notes and create notes in all directions. But what can I do with them if I can’t export them to another editor? That’s the gist of my question.
