How to display meta information (yaml) in the pop-up preview window?

Is there a possible way to show meta-information (e.g., aliases, tags, etc) in the pop-up preview window?

I’m not a native English speaker so I sometimes put the English translation of a certain concept in the meta-information area. It would be great if I can see the translation through the pop-up preview window.

No. I hope I can see the frontmatter in the pop up preview window not in the preview mode of a certain note.

If you’re talking about seeing the frontmatter when hovering over a link, then yeah, this is not possible. Though, you can use the supercharged links plugin to change the link’s appearance based on the file metadata.

Display front-matter on hover preview

Now that the front-matter is such a big tool, I reckon it may be a good idea to allow the user to select to show/hide meta data when previewing the note content. The rationale is: We are now adding more & more detailed front matter in our notes which means in some cases they are more than just little details about the note. I believe this mean we’d like to see them when previewing the note; or at least have the option to do that with a selector.
